Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer invites Orlando residents to attend the 8th Annual Neighborhood and Community Summit on Saturday, Feb. 23 from 7:30 a.m. ? 2:15 p.m.
The annual Summit brings together neighborhood, arts and cultural, civic, community and faith-based leaders and volunteers to share information and ideas for community building and creating partnerships. It also provides an opportunity to learn more about City programs, initiatives and resources that will help guide neighborhood and community organizations toward making a greater positive impact in our community.
A variety of neighborhood engagement workshops, best practices and networking opportunities are available for attendees. Some of the many workshops that will be offered include:

- It Takes Courage to Prevent Domestic Violence
- Pedestrian Safety- It?s Up to Us
- Mayor?s Matching Grant Opportunities

Sign up on the City?s Green Works Orlando interactive website, and redeem your participation points for two free passes to the summit. A limited number of free Summit registrations are available. Residents who register by Friday, February 8 will receive a discounted registration cost of only $5. After February 8 the cost is $10.
Registration includes workshops, continental breakfast, lunch and conference materials. Registration forms are available online at www.cityoforlando.net/summit. For more information, call 407-246-2500.
Free parking is available at the Double Tree Hotel. Look for the Summit parking signs that will be posted at the hotel.
